Winner Aviation Teams up with Outback Steakhouse and Handel’s Ice Cream
Winner Sponsors Dinner & Dessert at St. Joe’s Hospital
Warren, Ohio. Today, Winner Aviation, an aviation services company based in Youngstown, OH, sent Tyler Wolfe (Ground Services), Chris Winter (Ground Services) and Jeff Knight (CFO) to Mercy Health Saint Joseph Warren Hospital to deliver a token of thanks and support to Coronavirus first responders. They were joined by Ben Rhoads, owner of the Outback Steakhouse in Niles, OH, and representatives of Youngstown’s own Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. The team served dinner and ice cream to all three shifts at the Respiratory, ICU and ER units of “St. Joe’s” Hospital as a thank you for their front-line service in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Each of the 66 employees’ meals were made-to-order by Outback Steakhouse, who agreed to partner with Winner in expressing gratitude to St. Joe’s. Each delicious 3-course meal was individually wrapped to maintain safety standards. In addition, Handel’s also donated various flavors of their amazing homemade ice cream in personal-sized containers to the hard-working first responders.
Tyler Wolfe of Winner Aviation had the idea to team up with some local eateries to bring the workers at St. Joe’s a bit of cheer: “When I pitched the idea to Meg (President of Winner Aviation), she didn’t even let me get to the end of my sentence. She heard Outback Steakhouse, Handel’s Ice Cream, and St. Joe’s Hospital, and she was on board.”
Meg Bianco, President, stated, “Our hearts go out to all who are affected by this pandemic, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to give something back to the people who are putting their lives on the line to save others.”
